As a parent, we want our children to be happy and healthy.

Whether you are a two parent, single parent, grand-parent or guardian household, I believe we all want the best for our children. When our child or children struggle, it deeply touches our heart. Their tears of frustration become ours and sometimes we just don’t know what to do to help.

Children struggle in school for different reasons. They may have learning ‘glitches’, be labeled with ADD or ADHD, or developmentally or socially challenged. There may be some fear based on previous stressful experiences. Wanting to fit in and be accepted by a group is a basic human need and if our child is feeling left out or behind, it can affect their childlike wonder, curiosity and joyful participation in life.

Sometimes we believe they’re just not trying. Or worry, deep down, they’ll never reach the potential we see in them. As a parent, we often see some of our own struggles and challenges in our children and want to save them the pain we went through. It’s not always easy to find solutions when emotions from parents and children are involved.

In over 13 years of experience with body/brain balancing, I’ve seen dramatic changes in children’s behavior and learning challenges. Children of all ages respond quickly to Brain Gym. Since their systems are still learning and growing at an accelerated rate, making changes comes more easily to them. Your child can begin to enjoy school and have a much more rewarding learning experience.

One of the tools I find extremely helpful is the Body Brain Profile Assessment(BBPA). There are 32 profile possibilities and knowing your child’s can be very beneficial for both of you and enrich your relationship. Behaviors which may annoy you may simply be your child’s natural response when stressed. Knowing your profile is also beneficial because it helps your child understand how you react when stressed.

“Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.” J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter, The Goblet of Fire
